Kate is one of our fabulous OT’s in the Riverland region, who works nine days a fortnight providing therapy to children and young adults across various funding types, including NDIS, Medicare, and private clients. Kate completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from the University of Newcastle in 2019.
Kate’s passion as an OT comes from her desire to be able to help people work towards their goals within the contextual environment of their home, school, or community and she loves seeing how the smallest things can make a big difference in someone’s daily routine and give them a brighter perspective on a particular activity or their future, and the holistic view OT’s have of people’s journey and how by constantly taking into account all facets of someone’s life can connect dots and solve a problem.
Kate has previous experience working with adults, predominantly with neurological conditions, and with veterans, and her areas of interest are upper limb therapy and developing self-management strategies in general.
In Kate’s own time, she just likes to have fun, and loves being outdoors, and she is always trying a new sport, so she can add them to her list that includes running, swimming, tennis, and going to the gym already!
