Mariah

Occupational Therapist

Mariah is one of our dedicated OT’s working across the Mallee and Riverland region with NDIS and private paediatric clients to support children and their families to reach their goals. Mariah completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University, graduating in 2022.

Having grown up in Pinnaroo, Mariah has a strong passion to provide health services to underserviced rural areas and understands the barriers to accessing services. Mariah is thrilled to be able to provide high-quality, evidence-based, reliable services to rural communities and strongly believes you should not be disadvantaged by your location, sharing this value with TPAG. It is icing on the cake that Mariah gets to now offer services in the community she grew up in.

Being an OT allows Mariah to help people and facilitate independence through education and Mariah believes OT is the perfect role for her as she gets to build capacity in others so that they can do what they want to do in their life. Seeing the small improvements add up and make a huge difference in someone’s life is what drives Mariah each day.

Mariah loves working with children of all abilities and their families to increase engagement and quality of life and has completed placements in community paediatrics, rural generalist (inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation, paediatrics, community adults, acute) and within the disability sector (NDIS) using inclusive technology to increase independence and quality of life.

In her own time Mariah loves reading, connecting with family and friends, and is learning Afrikaans.
