Suzannah

Occupational Therapist

Suz is one of our dedicated OT’s and works four days a week in Murray Bridge with NDIS and private paediatric clients. Suz completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Occupational Therapy at Flinders University, graduating in 2022. Interestingly, it was Suz’s mum who helped influence her to become an OT, as her mum’s high regard of the work OT’s do, married with the holistic and diverse aspects of the role really appealed to Suz. From here, Suz’s love of OT only grew, as she realised how practical, creative, and empowering the OT role can be.

Suz loves OT for its interpersonal nature. The ability to create meaningful connections and think creatively in practice is something that fills her cup and her areas of interest include supporting families and children to improve their engagement in meaningful activities.

Suz has built her experience from previous placement opportunities, a stint working on a summer camp in Wisconsin, as well as work as an Allied Health Assistant in both nature therapy and acute rehabilitation settings. Suz has experience in rehabilitation, specifically upper limb and cognitive therapy, chronic disease management, and working within a rural community OT service in the NDIS and DVA space. Working in the nature therapy space has refined Suz’s skills in navigating group dynamics, as well as facilitating connection and exploration between children in beautiful outdoor settings.

In Suz’s own time, she is passionate about getting outdoors, whether that be walks in nature, or snorkelling our amazing SA beaches. A big food and coffee lover, Suz loves finding tasty meals and accompanying coffee and this is something she will dedicate herself to. We love her enthusiasm!
