The Potential Ability Group provides client centred holistic strengths-based support to ensure children are given every opportunity to reach their potential. We understand the importance of not just working with the children directly but supporting the parents, educators, community and environment around them to ensure they are given every opportunity for success.
Options may include:
- Formalised professional development trainings to parents, educators and/or leaders on topic of particular need/interest.
- Half day to full day hands on training and development with more time and opportunity for practical activities and site specific questions/case studies.
- Tailored small groups working directly with the children on one or multiple AEDC domains.
- Embedded support: Let the Occupational Therapist become part of the team. Embedded support allows the therapist to become familiar with your site, children, resources, community and provide a specific in the moment support to staff and children. The more familiar and informal nature of this support allows hands on modelling, in the moment strategies, and overall, a more holistic level of intervention, resulting in improved long-term outcomes. This can be tailored to your site but for example might look like half a day support once a week or fortnight.
- Resource development.
- Environment review and recommendations.
