Maddie completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at Uni SA and loves working across the lifespan, and supports clients of all ages in the Adelaide Hills, Strathalbyn and Southern Adelaide regions, embracing our value of work/life balance by having every Monday off.
Maddie chose OT as a career as she always knew she wanted to work in healthcare, and as an OT loves the aspect of being able to work with individuals at all different stages of life, and that there is always some way she can support every person. The strengths-based nature of OT resonates with Maddie, and that as an OT she will always find people’s strengths and be able to utilise that. This stems from a belief it is a privilege to become a safe space, and consistent person for her clients, particularly in the children’s lives that she works with.
Maddie chose TPAG as growing up in the Riverland, and experiencing rural placements, Maddie loves that TPAG works in regional/rural areas and delivers meaningful services to people that may have previously found services difficult to access. A strong sense of community has always been a big part of Maddie’s life, and she loves that she can continue to contribute by working in these communities.
Maddie is excited that her role at TPAG provides the opportunity to expand her knowledge across the different fields of paediatrics and working with NDIS and DVA clients.
In her own time, Maddie enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking Pilates, shopping, going to the beach, going for coffee and dinners out.
