Renee is one of our dedicated OT’s working across the lifespan, four days a week in the Southern and Hills regions of Adelaide, Murray Bridge and Strathalbyn.
Renee completed her Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Occupational Therapy through Flinders University and was driven to pursue a career in OT as she loves the diversity of fields within OT, making the path of her future career endless, but Renee especially loves the consistent opportunities to work with individuals of different disabilities, cultures and life experiences.
Growing up in the Riverland, Renee experienced and observed the limitations many people face when accessing services. TPAG’s ongoing commitment to providing meaningful, community-based support strongly resonates with Renee’s passion for helping others and bridging health gaps in regional areas. Being part of the TPAG team allows Renee to contribute to improving access to services while remaining connected to, and present within close-knit communities, even when living away from them.
Renee loves that no day is ever the same and being able to be a safe space for people and supporting them in areas they may have felt were once impossible to improve on, all while being able to build relationships with new people and gain insight into their lived experiences.
Keen to build on her varied repertoire of experience across the lifespan to support individuals in their maintained or developing independence to facilitate a greater quality of life, Renee has a great interest in learning, and has an open mind when it comes to the client groups she works with, as she believes that each individual offers a new learning curve and opportunity to enhance her skills to better support others in the future.
In her down time, Renee enjoys reading, walking her dog, going to the gym, crocheting, and having new experiences… especially travelling, and when she isn’t filling her spare time with these activities, you will likely find her racing in a motor sports competition, a passion she has had for many years!
